City of Harrington Election: Council Districts 1 and 3
Election To Be Held On May 5, 2010
The CITY OF HARRINGTON election petitions are now available to be picked up at City Hall located at 106 Dorman Street, Harrington, Delaware between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for the following:
District 1 – Term to Expire 6/1/13
District 3 - Term to Expire 6/1/13
Petitions must be signed for and you must specify which position you are seeking election to run, in order to make you aware of the rules.
You must live in the City of Harrington in the District for which you are running, be registered with the Kent County Department of Elections, all taxes and utilities must be up-to-date, and have no felony convictions.
Petitions for Council Districts 1 and 3 must be returned with at least ten (10) signatures and no more than twenty-five (25) signatures of registered voters in your District by no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 6, 2010 to Clerk of Council. If the petition is received later than 4:00 p.m. on April 6, 2010, or does not have the correct amount of signatures, it cannot be accepted.
