Waste Water Treatment Plant

The City of Harrington Waste-Water Treatment Plant is responsible for the treatment of approximately 600,000 gallons of untreated sewage from the City of Harrington, Delaware State Fair, and Farmington residents. The site is located on 13.5 acres with two lagoons. The treatment process consists of a dissolved air floatation unit, sand filter, chlorination and de-chlorination. After treatment the water is discharged into the Brown’s Branch which is a contributor of the Murder Kill River.
