Community Policing
Officer Jessica Jacobs is in command of this unit. Officer Jacobs has been with the Harrington Police Department for 3 years and currently holds the position of Patrolman First Class. She is currently the Community Policing Officer for the City of Harrington in which she handles a wide variety of programs and events such as: neighborhood watch programs, elderly safety programs, business safety programs, National Night Out, bicycle safety programs and foot patrols throughout the community. She is currently teaching the G.R.E.A.T. program to 6, 7, and 8th graders at W.T. Chipman Middle School, as well as an anti-bullying program at Lake Forest South Elementary School. She is the Special Olympics of Delaware liasion for the Harrington Police Department, as well as performing her standard patrol duties.
